Cerita tentang Cara Memperoleh dan Mempertahankan Beasiswa Unggulan Kemdikbud 2013

I want to tell you more about my scholarship that can be found in the right corner of this blog. The scholarship is called Beasiswa Unggulan Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan CIMB Niaga Batch 8. This is one of Kemdikbud's programs in distributing the chance to study of Indonesian's scholar that collaborates with a private bank namely CIMB Niaga.

How can I get it?

In the first semester, for about 30 months ago, I went to Direktorat Kemahasiswaan UGM that has a nice building (one reason that makes me feel UGM will be my place for study-at that time) with my mom. I went there to make a clarification about Bidik Misi program that I could have gotten. Anyway, mr.X told me that it will be so hard in getting the program so he asked me to apply the other scholarship, Beasiswa Unggulan. 

I've prepared all the terms which are needed for the application. Started from High School report and recommendation, CV, Letter of Proversty, some certificates, and the other requirement. A month after I had waited for the announcement, I passed the administration step. Alhamdulillah. The next steps were Psychological and English test. I passed the second step and I went to hold an interview with a manager in CIMB Niaga Yogyakarta. I remembered how the interviewer started to look at my eyes deeper then unstrap his glasses after I had told my reasons to get this scholarship. I told all of my family's story, my activities in High School, and my efforts to live on this university. He didn't tell anymore, he just suggested me to keep moving and don't stop believing in God. 

There no one that can keep me in hope except my mom. She was the one that hold me on this live :')

Alhamdulillah.....

After a month in waiting, my name became one of the awardee of this scholarship. I still cannot believe it. I got the full scholarship. The scholarship is included of college fee for 8 semesters (UKT), fee for books, fee for thesis, Laptop, living cost (a million every months for 4 years), character development and team building in every year, cost for personal development like English education, competition funding, etc. and a privilege to follow some programs in CIMB Niaga employee recruitment after graduated. It seemed unbelievable, masya Allah :')

How can I hold in this scholarship?

Anyway, this scholarship has some terms that we have to care about, e.g.

- Minimum GPA in every semester is 3. When we get smaller, our living cost will be reduced for 15%. When we get smaller for the second time, it will be reduced for 25%. And the last, when we get smaller for the third time, our scholarship will be ended and we get a penalty. The penalty is return all of the costs which was gave by Kemdikbud and CIMB Niaga.

Well. How can I hold my GPA by some information that study in Engineering Physics UGM is so hard? Maybe this scholarship is a way which is gave by God for me to keep studying hard. If I didn't get this scholarship, I can't make sure that I will hold my GPA in every semesters with some crowded activities in organizations and some competitions. 

- We have to not only keep in our academic performance, but also keep our non academic achievement like following some competitions.

How can I keep my performance in raising up my CV's appearance? I'm a student that can not keep in silence for one time. I'll try some new things and I love to be in challenge. Even this is not easy, but I'll keep moving :')

- We are not allowed to apply the other scholarship.

Started from this year, this scholarship is ended. Don't be disappointed. Because Kemdikbud just rename this programs after the ministry had changed from Kemdikbud (Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan-Ministry of Cultural and National Education) to Kemdiknas (Kementerian Pendidikan Nasional-Ministry of National Education). You (who will get a university stage) can join Beasiswa Unggulan programs too which are offered by Kemdiknas. Just surf in beasiswaunggulan.kemdiknas.go.id and don't hesitate to ask the persons involved in Direktorat Kemahasiswaan or the other student office.

One thing that I will inform to you, who want to continue study in university but don't have enough money:
Just do your best in high school first to get your desired University. Keep believe that God will help you who want to keep in study and find any useful knowledge. God will open your way to be success by some relations you make and some chances you try. Don't give up. Do your best.
