Don’t They Remember Their Family at Home?

I rode my motorcycle in this morning started from 9 AM. I rode it slowly because I went to campus just for non-important thing and I didn't have special appointment with anyone. It felt so pleasant when I looked around the road and remembered what I have to do in the road. I overtake some cars carefully. I looked my spion several times before stop and going right or left. It felt so pleasant. I didn't worry to anything and I didn't afraid if I will come late to campus.

The journey was begin when a girl who has a task to publish all things about Kamase found a new inspiration. The publication is not limited on facebook, twitter, website, but also in the form of magazine and international journal publication. It was Kamase's big dream; to publish the project in Panggang in the form of paper. When it was in holiday, the girl was showing her dream to Suci, a girl who likes writing too.

Khusyu' dalam Shalat

Assalaamu’alaikum.

Alhamdulillaahirabbil’aalamiin, Allaahumma shalli ‘alaa Muhammad. Wa’alaa ali shalli ‘alaa Muhammad.

Sahabat yang dirahmati Allah, kehidupan di dunia ini semakin beragam. Kita lihat saja di negeri tercinta kita masih terdapat banyak kejahatan, seperti korupsi, perzinaan, pencurian, perampokan, dan jenis-jenis kejahatan lainnya. Padahal kita tahu bahwa negeri ini adalah negeri dengan mayoritas penduduk adalah Muslim. Muslim memilki pondasi yaitu sholat dan disebutkan dalam surat Al Ankabuut ayat 49 yang artinya  “Sesungguhnya shalat itu mencegah dari perbuatan keji dan munkar.” Pertanyaannya sekarang adalah mengapa masih banyak terjadi kemaksiatan? Mengapa masih terjadi mudharat? Karena terkadang kita melupakan satu poin penting dalam sholat yaitu khusyu’.

Ketika kita merasa berat untuk melakukan kebaikan, ketika kita merasa berat untuk menundukkan hati di dalam sholat kepada Allah, ketika kita merasa kita adalah orang yang paling hebat di dunia ini, ketika kita tidak peduli dengan kepedihan yang terjadi di lingkungan sekitar kita? Coba kita tengok kembali ke dalam diri kita dan bertanyalah, “Apakah aku ingat pada kematian?”

Entah mengapa malam itu sangat dingin, aku pun terpaksa membeli sarung tangan di daerah kampus. Malam itu selepas berbuka puasa bersama teman-teman, aku pulang melewati jalan Bantul. Di sebuah perempatan paling besar yang aku lewati selama perjalanan pulang, lampu masih hijau. Aku pun mempercepat lajuku tapi ah sudahlah. Sudah kuning. Merah dan aku pun berhenti. Baiklah, waktunya meluruskan tangan dan kaki.

Why We Must Read the Preface First?

“Kalau kalian mau belajar, kalian harus baca dulu preface-nya. Kata pengantarnya. Kalian juga harus membaca biografi penulisnya.” If you want to study, you need to read the preface first. You also need to read the author’s biography. Said Mr.X in his first course of the 3rd semester. He is a lecturer who gives mark E to so many students (I hope not including me) in 3 subjects. When he said that, I was very interest and I read the preface and biography of his recommended book immediately. I felt that I know what I can get from that book. I knew why the author wrote that book. And I knew how the author convinces the entire student to study this amazing knowledge. Just it!

Pukul 06.00 adalah waktu yang tepat untuk beranjak dari rumah, mengenakan helm, slayer, dan jaket hitam. Sampai-sampai dulu ada sahabat yang mengatakan, “Mbak el kayak ninja ya.” Aku pun membeli helm putih dan slayer berwarna merah muda – biar kelihatan cewek beneran.

Place to take a pray

A note from Ustadzah Oki in her website reminds me what a hard case to find a pray location for us (Ellena and Suci) in Thailand. In the conference days (May, 28-19), we stayed in Sheraton Grande Chikumvit Hotel in Siam start from 9.00 a.m. until 5.00 p.m. It means that we need to pray Dhuhur and Asar in the conference.
